Cabbage Fritters

Crispy and flavorful cabbage fritters, perfect as a snack, side dish, or a light main course.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage
  • Egg
  • Flour
  • Herbs (parsley, dill, green onions)
  • Spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, red pepper flakes)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare your cabbage by washing it and removing the outer leaves. Chop it finely.
  2. Sauté the cabbage in a skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Mix your batter by combining the sautéed cabbage, egg, flour, herbs, spices, and salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan until shimmering.
  5. Shape the mixture into patties and carefully place them in the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain excess oil from the fritters using a slotted spoon and place on paper towels.

Notes

Serve with yogurt sauce or a tangy dip. Enjoy with a squeeze of lemon juice.
