Cajun Sausage Pasta

A flavorful Cajun Sausage Pasta dish that combines the richness of cream and spices for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb Cajun sausage, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente.
  2. Sauté the sliced Cajun sausage in olive oil until browned.
  3. Add the diced onion and bell pepper; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
  6. Add Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper; then stir in the cheese until melted.
  7. Combine the drained pasta with the sauce, tossing to coat.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  9. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
