Creamy High Protein Beef Pasta

A comforting dish of tender pasta coated in a rich, creamy sauce with lean ground beef, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

  • 8 oz Pasta (Penne or Fettuccine)
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar or Italian Blend)
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Fresh Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente; drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef, cooking until browned (5–7 minutes); drain excess grease if necessary.
  4. Create the Sauce: Pour in the beef broth, simmer for 2–3 minutes, then add heavy cream and stir well. Sprinkle in cheese and stir until melted.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss in the cooked pasta, mixing until coated. Add reserved pasta water as needed to adjust consistency.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Season with more salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve It Up: Remove from heat and let sit briefly. Plate with a sprinkle of parsley.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead and stored separately. You can also add veggies or customize with different cheeses.
