Microwave Chocolate Chip Mug Cookie

A quick and easy single-serve chocolate chip cookie made in the microwave.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a mug for about 10 seconds in the microwave.
  2. Mix in the granulated and brown sugars until combined.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and stir until incorporated.
  4. Sprinkle in the baking powder and salt, then mix in the egg yolk until smooth.
  5. Stir in the flour gently to avoid overmixing.
  6. Toss in the chocolate chips and mix.
  7. Microwave the mug on high for 40 to 60 seconds, checking for doneness.
  8. Let it cool for a minute before enjoying.

Notes

Enjoy in the mug with or without ice cream. Experiment with different add-ins for variety.
