Sticky Beef Noodles

A comforting dish of sticky beef noodles that brings warmth and nostalgia with every bite.

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the beef by slicing it thinly against the grain. Toss the beef in a dash of soy sauce to marinate.
  3. Sauté the aromatics by heating sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Cook the beef by increasing heat to high and adding marinated beef, stir-frying until browned.
  5. Add the sauces including soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Stir until beef is well-coated.
  6. Incorporate the sliced bell pepper and cook for another minute until slightly softened.
  7. Combine everything by reducing heat to medium and adding cooked noodles, tossing to coat.
  8. Final touches include seasoning with salt and pepper.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add chili oil or red pepper flakes. Substitute vegetables for added nutrition.
