Sweet and Sticky Steak Bites

  • 1 lb beef steak (sirloin or flank)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Slice the beef into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes.
  2. Mix the Marinade: Combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and garlic in a bowl and whisk until sugar dissolves.
  3. Marinate the Steak: Add beef to the marinade and coat well; let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat the Pan: Warm a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  5. Cook the Steak Bites: Sear the marinated steak bites in a single layer for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Finishing Touches: Remove the steak, boil the leftover marinade until thickened, and coat steak bites before serving.

Notes

Serve with chopped green onions and toothpicks, or over rice or in lettuce wraps.
