30-Minute Dinner Rolls

Fluffy, golden dinner rolls that can be made in just 30 minutes, perfect for any meal or occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (around 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a large bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it gets frothy.
  2. Mix in the oil and egg: Once your yeast is frothy, add the vegetable oil and the beaten egg. Whisk everything together until it’s well combined.
  3. Incorporate the flour and salt: Gradually add the flour and salt to the liquid mixture, stirring with a wooden spoon or spatula.
  4. Knead the dough: Dust your countertop with a little flour and turn the dough out. Knead for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Shape the rolls: After kneading, divide the dough into small pieces (about 1.5 inches in size). Roll each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
  6. Quick rise: Cover the dish with a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise in a warm spot for about 10-15 minutes or until they double in size.
  7. Bake to perfection: Pop the rolls into the oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
  8. Cool and serve: Let your rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm and fresh!

Notes

Brush the tops with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven for extra shine.
