Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A delightful and nostalgic dessert combining crunchy pretzels, creamy cheese, and vibrant strawberries.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of crushed pretzels
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 sticks of butter (3/4 cup) – melted
  • 8 oz of cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 8 oz of thawed Cool Whip
  • 23 oz packages of Strawberry Jello (regular or sugar-free)
  • 1 and 1/2 cup of boiling water
  • 4 cups of washed, cleaned thinly sliced strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the pretzels in a food processor or zip-top bag.
  3. Mix the pretzel base by combining crushed pretzels, melted butter, and powdered sugar.
  4. Bake the crust in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Cool the crust completely.
  6. Prepare the cream cheese layer by beating cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Fold in the Cool Whip gently.
  8. Layer the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  9. Prepare the Jello by dissolving it in boiling water.
  10. Add the sliced strawberries to the Jello mixture.
  11. Pour the Jello mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.

Notes

This dessert is best served chilled. Garnish with extra strawberries or chocolate sauce if desired.
