Slow Cooker Strawberry Butter

Transform fresh strawberries into a luscious, spreadable delight. Perfect for breakfast toast or topping off desserts.

  • 3 pounds fresh strawberries (stems removed)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by washing and hulling them. Slice in half or quarters.
  2. Add the strawberries to the slow cooker with honey, sugar, lemon juice, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
  3. Let it cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  4. Mash the mixture until smooth using a potato masher or fork.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as desired.
  6. Cool slightly and transfer to jars for storage.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to two weeks. Can be frozen for longer storage.
