  • 5 cups fresh apples (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter (melted)

  2. Toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.

  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the mixture and stir until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
