  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Toasted pecans (optional)
  • Dried cranberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prep the Brussels sprouts by rinsing them, trimming the ends, and removing any yellow leaves.
  3. Sweeten and season by combining the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through.
  6. Add toasted pecans and dried cranberries if desired, while they are still warm.
  7. Drizzle additional balsamic vinegar and honey just before serving for extra flavor.

Notes

For a spicy variant, add red pepper flakes to the oil mixture. If you prefer a vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup.
