Delmonico Potatoes

A creamy, cheesy delight perfect for any occasion, reminiscent of family gatherings and festive dinners.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz. Simply Potatoes (shredded or diced)
  • 3/4 cup milk (any kind)
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • Dash of black pepper
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter, divided into 6 slices
  • Paprika, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the Simply Potatoes with milk and heavy cream in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add kosher salt, dry mustard, black pepper, and nutmeg into the potato mix and stir gently.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, saving a handful for topping.
  5. Grease your casserole dish with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  6. Pour half of the potato mixture into the greased dish and sprinkle reserved cheese on top.
  7. Layer the rest of the potato mixture on top.
  8. Dot the top with the remaining slices of butter and sprinkle with paprika.
  9. Bake for about 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

You can prepare the dish in advance and store it in the fridge, baking it fresh when ready.
