  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled, 186 g)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/23/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • Candy eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until glossy.
  3. Crack in the egg and add vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Add chocolate chips and fold them into the dough gently.
  6. Toss in Halloween sprinkles for festive flair.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each.
  8. Pop trays in the oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

These cookies can be customized with various mix-ins like crushed candy bars or different types of chocolate chips. Chilling the dough before baking can alter the texture.
