Spooktacular Halloween Deviled Eggs

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Food coloring (black or green)
  • Olives or paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs: Place your eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Start on high heat; once it reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to low and cover. Let them sit for about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool and peel: Transfer the eggs to an ice bath for about 5-10 minutes, then peel them under running water.
  3. Cut and scoop: Carefully slice each egg in half lengthwise and pop out the yolks into a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix the filling: Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to the yolks, whisking until creamy.
  5. Add the color: Include a few drops of food coloring to your yolk mixture and mix until evenly tinted.
  6. Fill the whites: Using a piping bag or spoon, fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture.
  7. Garnish: Top with olives or sprinkle paprika over the eggs for festive flair.
