Easy Fig Jam

A delightful homemade fig jam that captures the essence of summer, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ripe figs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prep your figs by rinsing them under cold water, removing the stems, and chopping them into quarters.
  2. Combine chopped figs, sugar, and lemon juice in a pot and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Cook the mixture on medium heat for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  4. Add vanilla extract once the jam is thickened.
  5. Jar it up, leaving a half-inch headspace, and process or store as desired.
