Easy Southern Peach Cobbler

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the peaches by tossing them with 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice; let them sit.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients: whisk the milk and melted butter until well blended.
  5. Create the batter by pouring wet ingredients into the dry and mixing until just combined.
  6. Assemble the cobbler: pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and add the peaches on top.
  7. Bake for about 45-55 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
