Blackberry Cobbler

A delightful summer dessert featuring sweet and tart blackberries topped with a biscuit-like crust.

  • 2 cups Fresh Blackberries
  • 1/4 cup Sugar (plus more to taste)
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Sugar (for the topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep the blackberries by tossing them with 1/4 cup of sugar and letting them sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Make the topping by combining flour, milk, baking powder, and 1/2 cup of sugar in a bowl and whisking until smooth.
  4. Combine the blackberry mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and dollop the batter over the blackberries.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and juices are bubbly.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in other berries or adding citrus zest. Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the berries used.
