Magical Homemade Chocolate Halloween Cookies

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Green frosting (witches brew)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
  6. Scoop mounds of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Add frosting to the cooled cookies and decorate as desired.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. Can freeze cookie dough for later use.
