Lemon Cream Cheese Puff Pastry

A delightful pastry combining rich cream cheese with zesty lemon, wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

  • 1 Sheet of Puff Pastry
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • Granulated Sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Optional: Fresh Berries for Serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your puff pastry by rolling it out on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Make the cream cheese filling by combining softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon zest, and fresh lemon juice.
  4. Cut the rolled-out puff pastry into squares (around 4×4 inches).
  5. Fold over each square to create a triangle or rectangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it onto the tops of each pastry.
  7. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with fresh berries for a pop of color.
