Refreshing Lebanese Mint Lemonade

A refreshing and zesty Lebanese Mint Lemonade that is perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Lemons (about 6-8 lemons)
  • Fresh Mint Leaves (1 cup packed)
  • Granulated Sugar (3/4 cup)
  • Water (4 cups)
  • Ice (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Juice those lemons: Start by squeezing the juice from your fresh lemons, ensuring to remove any seeds.
  2. Prep the mint: Rinse your fresh mint leaves under cold water to remove any grit and chop them roughly.
  3. Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan, mix one cup of water with the sugar and bring to a simmer over medium heat until dissolved.
  4. Blend away: In your blender, combine the lemon juice, mint leaves, the simple syrup, and remaining water and blend until smooth.
  5. Strain (optional): If you prefer a smoother drink, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.
  6. Serve it up: Pour your Limonana into a pitcher and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving over ice.
  7. Garnish & enjoy: Add a sprig of fresh mint and a lemon wheel for garnish before serving.

Notes

Serve in tall chilled glasses with a cute straw or a sprig of mint for an elevated presentation.
