Southern Peach Cobbler

  • 68 medium-sized Fresh Peaches
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep the peaches by slicing them into thin wedges and removing the pits.
  3. Sweeten the sliced peaches with half of the granulated sugar and cinnamon; toss together and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Make the batter by whisking together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  5. Pour in milk and melted butter, followed by vanilla extract; stir until just combined.
  6. Assemble the cobbler by pouring the batter into a baking dish, then spooning the peach mixture over the top.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
