Quick-Rise Pizza Dough

A simple and fast recipe for homemade pizza dough that rises quickly for delicious pizza at home.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Add the wet ingredients: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, pour in the olive oil and warm water, and stir gently with a fork.
  3. Knead the dough: Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 2-3 minutes until elastic and smooth.
  4. Let it rest: Place the dough ball back in the bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough: Divide if making two pizzas, and roll into your desired shape on a floured surface.
  6. Preheat your oven: Preheat to 475°F (245°C).
  7. Par-bake your crust (optional): For extra crispiness, par-bake for about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Top and bake: Add sauce, cheese, and toppings, then bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
