Sweet Southern Peach Tea

A refreshing summer drink made with sweet peaches and tea, perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black tea or green tea)
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Brew the tea by adding tea bags once the water is boiling and steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags carefully after steeping.
  4. Add the sliced peaches into a pitcher and pour hot tea over them; let steep for 30 minutes.
  5. Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves.

Notes

Add fresh basil or ginger for variations, and feel free to blend some peach slices into a puree for added flavor.
