Best Strawberry Pretzel Jello Salad

A nostalgic dessert that combines a salty pretzel crust with a creamy cheese layer and vibrant strawberries, perfect for any gathering.

  • 2 1/2 cups pretzels, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 16 ounces Tru Whip or Cool Whip
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 6 ounces instant strawberry jello
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine pretzels, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and melted butter in a bowl; mix until coated.
  3. Spread the mixture in a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes; let cool.
  4. Beat cream cheese and 1 cup of granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
  5. Fold in whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Dissolve instant strawberry jello in boiling water; stir until fully dissolved.
  8. Add sliced strawberries to the jello mixture and pour over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until the jello layer is set.

Notes

Serve sliced with extra strawberries or a drizzle of strawberry sauce for garnish. This salad can be made ahead of time for best flavor.
