Maple Glazed Apple Blondies

These cozy blondies are packed with caramelized apples and drizzled with a sweet maple glaze, making them a perfect fall treat.

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. Prepare your apples by sautéing them with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and dark brown sugar until fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time and then the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently.
  7. Fold in the sautéed apples carefully.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Make the maple glaze by mixing powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  10. Cool the blondies, then drizzle with the glaze before serving.

Notes

These blondies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. They can also be frozen for 2-3 months.
