Moist and Tender Cinnamon Apple Bread

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Fresh Apples, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts or Pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat sugar and applesauce, then add eggs, vanilla extract, and fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Mix the two: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For variations, consider adding chocolate chips, a maple glaze, or dried cranberries. It can also be frozen for up to three months.
