Moist Pumpkin Bread

A cozy and delicious pumpkin bread filled with warm spices, perfect for fall or any sweet moment.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup streusel topping
  • 1/2 cup maple glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Mix the granulated and brown sugars, then add the vegetable oil and applesauce.
  5. Stir in the pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined and smooth.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in walnuts or pecans, if using.
  8. Sprinkle the streusel topping generously over the batter.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  12. Drizzle with maple glaze if desired.
  13. Slice and serve.
