Blackberry Cobbler

A delightful and heartwarming dessert filled with juicy blackberries and a buttery, soft biscuit topping.

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the blackberries by tossing them with 1/4 cup of sugar and letting them sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Make the batter by combining flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  4. Combine the batter in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spoon the blackberries over the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Cool for 15 minutes before serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
