Spook-tacular Halloween Baked Pasta

A delightful Halloween dish that combines cheesy pasta with spooky garnishes, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (ziti or penne)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup black olives (sliced)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in your pasta of choice and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Mix the sauces: In a big bowl, combine your marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir until everything is blended together.
  3. Combine with pasta: Gently fold in the cooked pasta until every piece is coated in that creamy, dreamy sauce.
  4. Prepare the baking dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray your baking dish with cooking spray or lightly grease with olive oil. Pour your pasta mixture into the baking dish.
  5. Add toppings: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the pasta and press black olives in to resemble eyeballs, placing a cherry tomato half in the center of each olive.
  6. Bake it up: Slide your baking dish into the preheated oven and let it bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot & enjoy: Once out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flair, serve in the baking dish and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley. Theme your serving utensils for a spooky effect!
