  • 12 oz. salmon (cut into 23 fillet strips)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 lemon (sliced into wedges)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or skillet to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Whisk together honey, warm water, apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice), and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet for about a minute, then place the salmon skin-side down and let it sear for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Flip the salmon carefully, brush with glaze, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven for 5 minutes if a thicker glaze is desired.
  7. Serve the salmon hot, drizzled with remaining glaze, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
