Easy Pesto Chicken Bake

A flavorful family dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts baked with vibrant pesto, cherry tomatoes, and melty cheese.

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup Pesto Sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by drizzling a tablespoon of olive oil at the bottom.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Spread the pesto sauce over the seasoned chicken in the baking dish.
  5. Add the halved cherry tomatoes around the chicken.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the chicken and tomatoes.
  7. Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the cheese and tomatoes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil after removing from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with crusty bread or a light salad to balance the rich flavors.
