4th of July Chex Mix

Celebrate Independence Day with a colorful and festive 4th of July Chex Mix, perfect for sharing at BBQs and picnics.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Chex cereal (Rice, Corn, or Wheat)
  • 2 cups pretzels (regular, honey, or gluten-free)
  • 2 cups popcorn (lightly salted or buttered)
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue chocolate candies
  • 1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • Optional: sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Mix together the Chex cereal, pretzels, and popcorn in a large bowl.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in seasoned salt.
  4. Combine the melted butter mixture with the dry ingredients and gently fold until coated.
  5. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  6. Add the chocolate candies once baked, while still warm.
  7. Cool completely before serving in a bowl.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. You can customize with additional ingredients like nuts or different types of cereal.
