Homemade Rhubarb Liqueur

A vibrant and tangy homemade rhubarb liqueur that’s perfect for sipping, mixing in cocktails, or drizzling over desserts.

  • 2 cups rhubarb, chopped
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 750 ml vodka
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rhubarb by washing, trimming, and chopping it into small pieces.
  2. Combine the rhubarb, sugar, and water in a large pitcher or bowl.
  3. Add the vodka and stir the mixture well.
  4. Let it infuse in a cool, dark place for at least a week while shaking it gently every couple of days.
  5. Strain the liqueur using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  6. Add the vanilla extract and stir well.
  7. Chill the liqueur for a few hours before serving.

Notes

For a unique twist, try adding fresh herbs, spices, or mixed berries during the infusion.
