A delicious twist on the classic smash burger, deconstructed into a hearty and interactive bowl perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean preferred)
  • 1 lb red potatoes, diced
  • 12 cups shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce or mixed greens
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow or Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Pickles
  • Extra lettuce
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Start by washing and dicing your red potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Chop your onion and greens, set them aside, and prepare your cheese and sauces.
  2. Cook the Potatoes: Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and toss in diced red potatoes. Season with salt and pepper, sauté for about 15-20 minutes until crispy.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: In another skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning, and cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Cheese, Please! Just before the beef is done, sprinkle your cheese on top and cover the skillet for a minute or two to let it melt.
  5. Build Your Bowl: Assemble your bowls starting with crispy potatoes, followed by the cheesy ground beef, topped with chopped lettuce, onions, and pickles.
  6. Dress it Up: Drizzle mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard over the top with flair.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and enjoy your Smash Burger Bowl.
