Taco Pizza

A delicious fusion of taco flavors and pizza, featuring a flaky crust topped with seasoned beef, creamy cheese, fresh veggies, and zesty salsa.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans Crescent Rolls (8 ounces each)
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • 1 8-ounce package Cream Cheese (well softened)
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 13 tablespoons Salsa (or hot sauce, optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese (6 ounces)
  • 1 cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the crescent rolls by unrolling the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press the seams together to form a solid crust.
  3. Pre-Bake the crust for 10 to 12 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  4. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart.
  5. Add the taco seasoning and half a cup of water. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and 1 tablespoon of salsa in a bowl until smooth.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Layer the seasoned beef evenly across the pizza.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  10. Pop the pizza back in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.
  11. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and extra salsa if desired.

Notes

You can prepare the seasoned beef and assemble the crust earlier in the day for convenience. Serve warm with a sprinkle of cilantro or extra sour cream.
